Light Housekeeping and Laundry
Our caregivers can take care of most of your household maintenance, including light housekeeping and laundry. While our caregivers are not maids or housekeepers, they will take care of the light housekeeping and laundry necessary to keep you or your loved one clean, safe, and comfortable. Maintaining a tidy and hygienic environment is part of our suite of services that ensure our clients health.
Here are some of the housekeeping duties our caregivers perform:
• Light laundry
• Keeping countertops wiped and clean
• Keeping the bathroom clean, tidy, and sanitized
• Light dusting
• Vacuuming
• Trash collection and removal
• Recycling
• Refrigerator inventory management and cleanliness
• Keeping sink basins clean
It is important to note that our caregivers are not housekeepers our handy-people. Their training is geared specifically toward the care of human beings. Additionally, as a letter-of-the-law organization, Presidio Home Care purchases extensive insurance policies to protect our employees and clients. Part of our insurance (and common-sense) dictates that our caregivers cannot engage in certain activities that fall outside of their regular job duties. The basic rule is this: if the work requested directly benefits the client’s health and well-being, it probably falls under the umbrella of what our caregivers can do. If the duty doesn’t directly benefit the client’s health and well-being (like painting the house, trimming the trees, or washing the car) it is probably outside of our scope of practice.
Presidio Home Care cuts no corners and bends no rules. Give us a call to see how our strict policies can keep you or your loved one safe and healthy. Click here to see how easy it is to get started.
