Many of our clients have poor vision. In most cases, poor vision is easily corrected and simply poses a minor inconvenience. However, in some cases poor vision can be life-altering. A client who has spent the last sixty years as an avid reader is devastated when they can no longer read the words on the page. Presidio Home Care thinks that this doesn’t have to be the end of a life-long love affair with books and reading.

1.   Our wonderful caregivers will read to you or your loved one. Whether it’s the newspaper, your favorite novel, The Bible, or just a catalog, our caregivers will sit with you and read aloud.

2.   Books on tape or CD are a fantastic resource that allows visually disabled folks to enjoy literature without needing to read it themselves.

3.   If the client is willing and able, Braille can open up a whole world of opportunity. Presidio Home Care has a relationship with the Braille Institute in Pasadena and can help clients get involved with classes and workshops.
